Food Truck Permitting and Inspection Process

The Oxford Township requires anyone operating a Mobile Food Establishment within the township to have an annual permit. 

To obtain a permit, please complete the following steps:

1) Download and complete the Food Truck Inspection Application here.

​2) Email the completed application as an attachment to Inspections@oxfordfiredept.com

3) Once the completed application is received by the Oxford Fire Prevention Division, you will be contacted to schedule the inspection. If you are not contacted within one (1) business day after submitting your application, please contact the fire department to ensure that your application was received at (248)-969-9483. Ask for the Fire Prevention office. 

Inspections are scheduled Monday-Friday between the hours of 7 AM - 4 PM.

There will be an increased fee for inspections scheduled outside of normal operating hours subject to the availability of an inspector.  All inspections will be performed at Fire Station 1 (96 N Washington Oxford, MI 48371).
